This year’s volume of The World is Our Home will contain 14 US stories and 12 Rwandan stories. The writing partners have finished their work now, and it’s up to the collaborators to make the final edits and compile the stories into the finished anthology. Over the next month, the collaborators will be working hard to finish this task.
Pen pals continue to correspond with their teachers at Kabwende, who are excited for the coming of the next volume of the book.
Evaluators are reviewing and compiling their data from this year’s activities and surveys into concrete recommendations for how the project may be improved in the future. Look for a special evaluation team blog post soon!
Documenters have imported all of their footage and are diligently working on five different videos to support the project with all of their footage from this year. Also, the Shutterfly and Facebook fan pages have been updated with photos from the year.
The fund development team is also working hard, with five different grants currently in the works, and five local fundraising events being coordinated by other Books & Beyond volunteers. Keep checking the blog for updates on how you can help in our remaining fundraising efforts for this year!
