Student Quotes:

“This being my second year with the project, I feel like I’ve gotten more out of the experience than just history and the facts about the genocide and then the transition from French to English, which is where Books & Beyond comes in, in providing this literature for the students to use. Now I feel I can draw inferences on cultural aspects of Rwanda or the kids growing up in Rwanda “-Andy Fak, IU Global Village, collaborator

“I really wanted to go to college without the IU trip, but the IU trip really inspired me more. It gave me more of a college choice whether to go to Indiana than I had on other college trips. And now in my brain, I have specific colleges that I might want to go to and that has made my college decision easier and faster.” -Elijah Lambert, TEAM Schools, writing partner
