June 19, 2011–July 2, 2011: Trip to Rwanda

A delegation of Indiana University students, TEAM students, and staff members traveled to Rwanda to deliver The World Is Our Home: Volume III. May 2011: Third Book Published

The World is Our Home: Volume III was published.

April 26, 2011: End of Semester Celebration

April 5, 2011: Jam for the Cause Fundraiser at Max’s Place, Bloomington

Indiana University students, Books & Beyond volunteers, and Bloomington community members came together to enjoy music and food while contributing to the project.

March 2, 2011: Dine & Donate: Noodles & Company, Bloomington

$200.00 was raised through this dine & donate. The money was used to help cover the cost of the summer Rwanda trip.

February 23, 2011: Dine & Donate: Mother Bears, Bloomington

$50.00 was raised through this dine & donate.

February 16, 2011: Dine & Donate: Buffalouie’s, Bloomington

February 14, 2011: Valentine’s Day Puppy chow Sale

Indiana University Books & Beyond participants made and sold puppy chow for a Valentine’s Day fundraiser.

February 10, 2011- February 15, 2011: Books & Beyond T-Shirt Sale

T-shirts, calendars, photographs, and books were on sale in the Indiana University SPEA atrium from 10:00 am–4:00 pm each day.

January 14, 2011: Trip to Newark, New Jersey

Indiana University Books & Beyond participants traveled to TEAM Schools in Newark, New Jersey to finish the stories and illustrations.

December 7, 2010: End of Semester Celebration

Each team met at the Global Village to discuss the progress of the project thus far and enjoy refreshments together.

November 5, 2010: Fundraiser: Rachael’s Cafe, Bloomington

Books & Beyond participants and Bloomington community members enjoyed a performance by DJ Phenom and contributed to the project at Rachael’s Cafe.  

September 30, 2010- October 2, 2010: TEAM visit to Indiana University.

TEAM students and teachers stayed at the Global Village and began working on stories with their Indiana University writing partners.
